So, we had a taste for prime rib last night and really searched for it nearby, but everywhere we have had it lately, it is usually a big glob of muscle and fat and very expensive, so we noticed that Filomena's served it and decided to try it. Finally! A chef who knows how to cut and cook it as well as any restaurant back home in Chicago!

The owners are simply some of the nicest people you will meet around town. Have visited here for years, great food in a supper club like atmosphere and sometimes you even get to see live accordion music. Full bar, reasonable prices, and you won't leave still hungry. Old school service and cooking.

We came to Kenosha for a wedding from FL. The Friday fish fry was good as it is all you can eat. The waitress was friendly. The owner came by a couple times and asked how things were. The bar is like an old fashioned bar for having a cocktail. We were happy with the portions and the price. Give it a try. Their drinks are unique and tasty. some of the best pizza and pasta! Great atmosphere perfect for date night or a family outing! It is a great place just to hang out and have an appetizer or drink or have a meal. with the large front area there is plenty of room for bigger parties or a quit little corner

This was a delightful experience. Entertainment was excellent and food was delicious and the servicev was pleasant . The local high school band students put on an awesome performance. Would love to go again. Had a great time overall.

The fish fry was terrible. Whatever they served us it was not cod. It was the flattest, meatless, most blandest fish I've ever had. My dog wouldn't even eat it. And you only get one cup of tartar sauce?? I will not be back.

Great food nice people

My wife and I went here again for the second time but it's been a long time since we were there the last for a nice sit-down dinner. The Ambiance was nice romantic quiet for those that like to drink at the bar they do have a really big bar there. But our waitress was really friendly easy going right on top of it and we would probably deaf and go back there again for a nice dinner

We were there for a banquet and the food was great. The service was good.

Went there with my family and I have to say, as Italians it has unfortunately been harder than expected to find decent Italian food around here, but Filomena's lived up to their reputation. We ordered four different dishes and they were all good. Our service was friendly and prompt, and they were super accomodating to my child. The portions are huge!! I could take an entire takehome box worth back and still be full from dinner. Wine glasses are a good size as well with a decent selection of wine. Bread could have been cooked a tad bit longer, but that was honestly the only critique we could see. We will be coming back and bringing more friends and family!!

Cortese’s Banquet Hall is a nice large space for an event. My work has held luncheon parties there annually for the last 4 years. We have about 150 people, but I believe the room can hold more than that. There is a good size parking lot and there is a handicap ramp at the hall entrance. The hall is very clean as are the bathrooms. The food is freshly made and very good. Our guests are always pleased with our event when we go there.

Love the fish here been coming 5 years never an isue till tonight. I take a piece of fish every time for the dog. But today the bartender told me they don't give to go boxes after all the time i been coming here. I may not come back. She received a 2 dollar tip instead of the usual $5 due to her BS.

It was too cold not enough heat the bathrooms are freezing. There was ice on the sidewalks very dangerous

Food was tasty and buffet items were kept hot. Banquet hall could use some acoustic adjustment as it is very noisy even with a small group.

Dance floor needs to be replaced or repaired, windows are full of cobwebs and dead flies. Apparent water leaks in ceiling.

The prime rib was an experience to slowly savor and enjoy. Well done to the chef. The customer service added to a time well spent with family.

Great Friday fish fry

Once Buona Vita closed, this is the only place you can get one of these gems. Highly recommended!

Awesome food and atmosphere!

Mother of the Bride, Very disappointed! Mina was great to work with in the beginning. Food was good, not great. But the servers began breaking down the coffee station & taking off table clothes an 1.5hours before the end of the evening. I asked what he was doing & he stated that the coffee was empty. I said to refill it not take it away. Items we brought in were LOST & or took several requests to get them returned. My camera (with wedding photos & more) was on a table one minute & gone with the tables clothes. A knife that belonged to the grooms grandmother is also missing. Mina stated nothing had been turned in. ??? Overall a nice venue, but for the cost & management, very disappointed. Wedding was on 9/7/13.

Amazing experience. Great food, lovely service and beautiful surroundings. Definitely the place to be when in need of a banquet hall. Bar was 5 star too. Lol.

Cold inside, they didn't turn up the heat until people arrived it seemed like. Quickly ran out of food and the guests were standing around waiting for it. The bathroom paper towel dispenser was empty and their solution was to put a role on the counter and it was even colder in the bathrooms. The pizza was good when it showed up. Seems like this Banquet Hall has never had a banquet before because it could not keep up.
